Alex’s opponent continues to be a roadblock for health care reform in Congress. “Surprise billing protections — once thought to be a bipartisan rallying point, and an increasing concern of patient advocates during the pandemic — appear as stuck as ever,” Politico reported yesterday.
We know that Richard Neal torpedoed a bipartisan bill to end the bad practice in December in support of one of his largest private equity funders. Neal introduced what he said was a better version of the bill, but in reality his bill would drive up prices and insurance premiums.
