Dear Green American,

You know the story. A wealthy miser receives ghostly visitors on Christmas Eve. Each shows him a truth he's been avoiding. By morning, he's transformed—choosing redemption over ruin.

This year, we're playing the ghosts.
And Big Tech? They're Scrooge.

THE GHOST OF CLIMATE PAST: Remember When Clean Energy Was Your Priority

Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta—you weren't always villains on climate.

You made 100% renewable energy commitments. You proved corporations could lead on climate change. You inspired others to follow. Green America cited your companies as leaders to win victories on renewable energy from companies like AT&T and Verizon .

But then came AI. And those commitments? Out the window.

You're choosing fossil fuels over the clean energy future you once championed. ([link removed])

The cruelest irony? Solar, wind, and battery storage can meet AI's energy needs RIGHT NOW. You just refuse to invest in it. And it is cheaper than fossil fuels!

THE GHOST OF CLIMATE PRESENT: Look at What You're Doing RIGHT NOW

AI already consumes enough electricity to power 7 million American homes. By 2028? That explodes to 26 million households—equivalent to adding Texas to America's grid.

And how are you powering this? Natural gas, coal, and nukes.

Microsoft is even trying to reopen the disastrous Three Mile Island nuclear plant!

Families near your data centers are breathing polluted air. Their electric bills are skyrocketing. Communities are running out of water. All so tech billionaires can be richer.

We must STOP Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Meta from creating a climate catastrophe and poisoning millions of Americans! ([link removed])

STOP Big Tech from putting their PROFIT over our FUTURE ([link removed])

THE GHOST OF CLIMATE FUTURE: You Can Still Change the Ending

If Big Tech pours billions into AI powered by fossil fuels, you'll accelerate the climate crisis right when we need to slam on the brakes.

But you can choose differently. Invest those AI billions in renewable energy. Be the corporate leaders who choose a clean energy future.

Scrooge woke up and changed everything. Will you?

That's where Green America comes in.

We've launched "Dirty Data: Stop Big AI from Polluting Our Climate & Communities." We've beaten Big Tech before—winning renewable commitments from Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Amazon.

Now we're demanding from Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta:

100% renewable energy for ALL AI operations

Community protection from pollution and fair electricity rates

Policy change through state and local coalitions

Donate to our matching gift challenge—double your impact and make Big Tech choose a renewable energy future! ([link removed])They have everything they need. They just need to be forced to care.

Join us in being the ghost Big Tech can't ignore.

With hope and determination,
