John, for months now, I’ve been warning about the consequences of letting the Democrats outraise, outspend, and get a head start on us.

It’s Ted Cruz, and I’m afraid what I predicted is coming true.

I was just handed new polling numbers that show Democrats have surged to a 14-point lead against Republicans.

Not in a liberal state. Not in a liberal district. Across the entire country.

We could make up one point per month before Election Day and still lose.

We must run like we’re behind, because we are.

And I’ll just be blunt, the first step is raising more money.

If we don’t have the money to talk about cutting taxes, securing the border, and shrinking the government, we’ll lose.

And if we don’t have the money to show folks the truth about the Democrats’ slide into Marxism, we’ll lose.
