Hi John
Youth incarceration increased in 2023, despite record-low crime rates. Black youth are 5.6 times and Tribal youth nearly 4 times more likely to be incarcerated than white youth. These disparities show why reform is urgent.
The Sentencing Project works to turn data into meaningful change. In 2025, we helped secure court victories ending extreme youth sentences, informed policymakers and advocates with research, and elevated public awareness about youth justice reforms.
You can help ensure youth justice progress continues. Your gift today supports research, advocacy, and public education that create fairer policies and more opportunities for young people to thrive.
Stand up for vulnerable youth and give now.
