Dear Friend,
2025: By The Numbers
It’s been an honor representing our Sixth Congressional District in the Halls of Congress this year and helping constituents at home will always be my top priority. I am proud to report that in 2025, we completed 501 federal casework inquiries and successfully recovered $6,835,301.59 for veterans, social security beneficiaries, and others who had issues with federal agencies.
My office assisted constituents across all six counties in the district in recovering owed benefits, scheduling VA appointments, obtaining passports, and much more. If you are ever struggling to contact a federal agency or believe you were treated unfairly, please reach out to my office. We would be more than happy to assist you.
Making Health Care Affordable Again
The Unaffordable Care Act - passed with only support from Democrats - broke our health care system. For 15 years, Americans have paid the price, with the cost of health care growing year after year. This week, the House of Representatives passed the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act by a vote of 216-211 on December 18, 2025, with my support. This legislation addresses the root cause behind the rising cost of health care and will bring necessary reform by increasing choice, competition, and transparency. This legislation is a major victory, as every American deserves access to affordable health care and quality treatment. Rest assured, I will continue to support policies and legislation that will make life for Minnesotans more affordable.
Honoring the “Miracle on Ice” in the Oval Office
Last Friday, I attended the signing ceremony for legislation to award Congressional Gold Medals to the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team. I was proud to cosponsor this legislation and support a fellow Minnesotan Congressman Pete Stauber. It was an awesome night at the White House commemorating the team’s historic victory against the Soviet Union 45 years ago. Out of the twenty players on the team, eight were from Minnesota.

Putting Farmers First
This week, we passed the Pet and Livestock Protection Act, which supports farmers and ranchers by removing the gray wolf as a protected species under the Endangered Species Act. Minnesota’s economy thrives because of our ag industry and the gray wolf is a huge threat to the livelihood and safety of our farmers, ranchers, and their animals. Gray wolves are now thriving and no longer endangered. I have been a long-time supporter of delisting the gray wolf, and it’s great to see the House of Representatives take action to put farmers first so that they can protect their livestock and safeguard their livelihood.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
As always, my door is open, and I am here to help in any way I can. Whether it’s recovering owed benefits, tax refunds, or fighting to reduce the tax burden on Minnesota families, I am fighting for you in Washington, D.C., and I look forward to continuing to do so in 2026.
Wishing you and your family a joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year.
Sincerely,
