At the Energy Democracy Project, we're answering the call to take bold action. Across the country, despite critical challenges, our movement has unapologetically stood for our shared vision and values: building an energy system reflective of a world where everyone, across race, class, gender, and geography has access to power that supports our resilience through the seasons. From Puerto Rican resistance to unfair federal mandates, to radical shifts in the way we think about public power in New Mexico, to real progress towards community-driven resilience in the wake of wildfires and heatwaves in California, collaborators in the Energy Democracy Project are not losing steam in the path towards justice. 

And now, we’re looking to you to join us in keeping the momentum towards our latest action: meeting our bold goal to raise $5,000 by the end of the year. Your support will help get stories like these out to wider networks through our new REFOCUS zine.

We've got a long road ahead. Our popular education zine is just the tip of the iceberg, and we're ready to share with supporters like you that we're determined to:

• Launch a new Strategic Plan for Energy Democracy, paving the way for the next three years of action across our network
• Host an inaugural Energy Democracy Futures Summit to develop our roadmap for achieving real, tangible wins with our communities across the country alongside regional and national convenings to deepen relationships for long-term organizing
• Expand the Debt Jubilee Initiative, building on our publication to empower communities burdened by predatory utility debt
• Deepen our narratives on rising challenges: from data centers and AI expansion, to increasing debt, to increased wildfire risks under investor-owned utility land practices
