On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, we filed two important documents with the federal court in Amarillo in our fight to close our primary elections as decided by the 2024 state convention delegates. The documents outline our position that Secretary of State Jane Nelson and her out-of-state private lawyers cannot assert sovereign immunity (that right belongs to the Texas Attorney General). The current open primary system burdens our associational rights by allowing democrats to participate in our primary election.
