I’ll get right to it: At the end of this email, I’m going to ask you for a donation.

But before I do, let me explain why. I know I owe you that much.

So, here’s the truth:

December is an official FEC deadline month. What that means is, when it’s over, we are legally required to report how much money we raised AND the number of donations we received online will also be public.

Everyone will be watching — the press, our opponents, and our allies as well. They all want to know if we can put together the kind of team we’ll need to face off against Trump and the entire executive branch.

Today, the 15th, is the midpoint to that FEC deadline. What we raise today will determine whether we’re in line to hit our goals, and we can’t fall behind. We have to show strength, because that’s the only thing people like Trump understand.

And that is why I am humbly asking:

Can you please make a $3 contribution to my campaign? We need an absolutely massive number of donations before we’re legally required to report out our numbers.
