We are now just three weeks away from ACA subsidies running out, and Senate Republicans still have no plan to stop premiums from doubling for families across Washington.

We cannot take millions of people off their Affordable Care Act plans and pretend a $1,000 check will cover $7,000 in out-of-pocket costs. That is not a solution – it’s a shell game that leaves working families holding the bill.

I know we can find bipartisan answers. I’ve worked with Republicans before on lowering prescription drug costs, increasing PBM transparency, and creating the Basic Health Program under the ACA to save families money. But right now, too many in the Senate are choosing politics over people.

And Washington families will pay the price.

As we head into the final stretch of the year, it’s critical that our campaign shows the strength needed to keep leading this fight in 2026. GOP mega-donors are circling because they know I won’t stop calling out their dangerous agenda.

Premiums are already spiking by thousands of dollars. Some counties are set to more than double. Families shouldn’t have to choose between health care, groceries, or housing.
