Hi John! It's Ben with Opportunity Arizona. 

After the 2024 election, I felt crushed. Our team had put in a lot of work to flip the Arizona legislature and although we didn’t get the results we hoped for, it gave us perspective. That’s why we reevaluated Opportunity Arizona in the beginning of this year. Now, we are the only organization in Arizona that fights solely for affordability at the Arizona Legislature. 

Throughout this year, we have communicated tirelessly to Arizona’s elected officials to prioritize affordability. That’s why we created the Affordability Agenda—a packet of policies to lower costs. 

The Affordability Agenda helps us partner with our champion economic legislators to not just talk about how we can take on corporations to stop price-gouging Arizona families but how we can get it done. 

In 2026, we’re doubling down on our Affordability Agenda. Instead of 5 affordability policies, we’re pushing 9 bills to lower the cost of housing, healthcare, groceries, and utilities. We’re not just proud of the legislation we’ve worked on, we believe in it.
