I usually write to update you on the fights I’m taking on as Attorney General, but I wanted to take a moment to explain why these fights are so important to me.

My parents were immigrants, and they taught me the value of hard work and giving back to our community. My dad was a physician who cared for patients in underserved neighborhoods, and it was through his example that I gained my commitment to justice and compassion.

I served in the Army because I love our country and believe that the fundamental principles of our democracy are worth fighting for.

That oath shaped my entire career, from the State House to Congress to now serving as Maryland’s Attorney General. I’m proud to have built a career of service, working to make our state and country more equitable and truly just for all.

Right now, those principles are under attack.
The Trump administration is working to undermine our basic democratic principles, whether it's through attacks on free speech, due process, or unlawfully firing federal workers. While their attacks are relentless and these fights are exhausting, I’m willing to work around the clock to protect Marylanders because I believe that a more just future is worth fighting for.
That’s why I take on these fights. I didn't become Attorney General because I love fundraising. But the truth is, it’s essential. And now with the busy holiday season approaching, fundraising is slowing down, and Maryland’s legislative session fundraising freeze is around the corner.
Will you chip in right now to power our fights before the fundraising freeze? I truly appreciate your support.
