Dear John,
Are you expecting your health care premiums to increase next year?
At the end of this month, the Affordable Care Act tax credits that help keep health insurance affordable for many Americans will expire if Congressional Republicans don’t act. I’ve heard from countless people in our community about how they'll suffer if their health insurance premiums skyrocket
Read some of our neighbors’ stories below.
“My insurance is increasing by $300 a month and it is not subsidized...I chose this level of insurance coverage because I am facing a challenging cancer diagnosis and wanted to be sure I would have all the resources possible...It is something I shouldn’t have to worry about on top of my diagnosis…It seems so unfair that we can’t take care of our own people when we are fighting for our lives.” — Jeanette from Rancho Cucamonga
“My husband and I are small business owners. We have relied on the ACA and its subsidies for the past 10 years for our health insurance. This year due to the Big Beautiful Bill our costs for health care go from $650 per month to $2000 per month....I don't know how we will be able to afford just basic living expenses - let alone pay a $2000 a month health insurance premium. We have always been good citizens, pay our taxes, vote and expect our government to be there for us when we need them.” — Amy from Redlands

If you’re going to be affected, I want to hear from you. Please consider sharing your story with my office by filling out the form linked here.
No matter what, I will keep fighting back to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits, lower the cost of your health insurance and ensure that working families can get the quality health care that they need.
Thanks,
Pete Aguilar
Member of Congress
