Rural Coalition is pleased to announce the appointment of Tandelyn Daniel as its Director of Communications and External Relations, a new role created to strengthen the organization’s communications and external relations, bringing greater coordination to membership and donor engagement.

Daniel, who joined the organization in November, now oversees public engagement, organizational visibility, clear and consistent messaging, and relationships with member groups, partners, and allies across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

About Tandelyn Daniel

Daniel brings more than a decade of experience in communications, membership development, leadership, and community-centered program work.

Most recently, Daniel served as the Director of Communications and Member Relations at the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund. The Federation is a founding member organization of Rural Coalition.

Her professional background includes roles with C.H.O.I.C.E.S. (Center Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully), the Georgia Restaurant Association, YMCA of Metro Atlanta, Quad Graphics, Waffle House, EPI Printers, Scientific Games, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

She also founded and served as CEO of a Georgia-based statewide membership network supporting restaurant owners and hospitality entrepreneurs.

A Georgia native from Dublin, she holds a B.A. in Journalism (Public Relations) from the University of Georgia.

Daniel will lead communications strategy across all channels., oversee public relations and digital content, and ensure that Rural Coalition members, supporters, and allies receive clear, timely, and accessible information in collaboration with the Rural Coalition Team.
