John, The Trump presidency is dangerous — for our country, our democratic institutions, and for the people we're supposed to serve as elected officials. But Trump’s presidency also gives Democrats an opportunity that we can’t afford to miss. As the Trump Administration abandons rural America with policies in the Big Ugly Bill that take away healthcare, close down rural hospitals, and make it harder to attract rural investment and jobs, we have the chance to turn red-leaning rural states and districts blue. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, we need to be sure that we are truly listening to voters’ concerns, offering solutions that help them in their daily lives, and make sure that we talk like normal human beings. These steps are simple, and trust me, they work. I’ve won three times statewide as a proud Democrat in a state that Donald Trump carried by 30 points just last year. I am living proof that Democrats with the right message and right approach can win anywhere—even in deep-red Kentucky. In my new op-ed for the Washington Post, I lay out the playbook for how Democrats can meet this moment and expand the map by running with clarity and purpose. How we cut through the chaos, bring people together, and stay focused on the issues that actually impact everyday life. I hope you'll read it — and if you believe in this work, I hope you'll consider chipping in today to help In This Together PAC support leaders who are committed to decency, solutions, and putting people first. >> By Andy Beshear, Governor of Kentucky and Incoming Chair of the DGA "Tackling affordability is not enough. This is the same American Dream — the promise that if you work hard and play by the rules, you can get ahead — that has inspired generations and lifted America to great heights. This concern transcends party lines. Families know how much their grocery and utility bills have gone up, and how unaffordable rent or the mortgage is getting. But they also know that the vacation they took as children has slipped out of reach…." CONTINUE READING → Thanks for taking the time, Andy
