We Are a Country of Immigrants

It’s time Republicans crack open a history book and remind themselves that America was built by immigrants. We cannot keep repeating this same cycle of hate. In the Oversight Committee, I listened to U.S. citizens who were unlawfully detained and lived through the cruelty inside ICE facilities. Everyone—regardless of color or status—deserves respect and fairness. This is wrong. Period.

If their stories don’t rage you, then you aren’t paying attention—because their pain is real, and their humanity deserves to be seen.

Justice for Breonna Taylor Act

This week, I was proud to join my colleague Rep. McGarvey (KY-03) to reintroduce the bipartisan Justice for Breonna Taylor Act. No family should have to endure what Breonna's family has had to endure. Breonna Taylor should still be here with us today. Period. These “no-knock” warrants need to be put to rest before they take another innocent life.

Trump'a America = Scamming Americans

The biggest con artist in America sits in the Oval Office, and while he schemes for more money and power, everyday Americans are the ones paying the price. Their concepts of a plan, paired with his lies and complete disregard for the public, shows just how little he cares for the very people who put him in office.

Here are the facts: millions of Americans will lose their health care coverage if Republicans refuse to do their jobs. It’s time to stop playing the victim and sign the discharge petition.
