Dear John,
As an EIA undercover investigator, my job is to go to places where criminal activities are taking place out of sight and bring them into the light.
In 2024, I worked on an EIA investigation into Vietnam’s role as a major hub for global wildlife crime.
As usual, my work started with research and building up a cover story, creating a role that would fit with the investigation.
From talking to traders, we uncovered new information about how traffickers are moving elephant ivory, pangolin scales and rhino horns between Vietnam and China.
Can you donate today to help us protect wildlife and bring criminals to justice?
We discovered some startling details. We found that criminals often conceal wildlife products in frozen foods, such as chicken feet, to get them through border crossings.
Next, we published a report that we’re using to keep up the pressure on governments and authorities, campaigning to promote long-term change.
I’m so grateful for any gift you’re able to give us. On behalf of myself and other EIA investigators, a heartfelt thank you.
Kind regards,
An EIA undercover investigator
