National Post: Toronto woman says Uber driver refused to take her home after she spoke Hebrew

A Toronto woman says her luggage was tossed out of a vehicle by an Uber driver when he heard her speaking Hebrew to her husband. The driver then refused to take them home from the airport after they arrived from a trip in the middle of the night in February. Shiri Gabriel’s snub at Toronto Pearson airport brings the number of antisemitic acts involving the rideshare company and Torontonians to three. In August, David Woolf, 78, who splits his time between Toronto and Israel, said an Uber driver in Europe refused to take him, his wife and their friends to a train station, because he said he was from Israel. Toronto model Miriam Mattova recently told National Post she was kicked out of a vehicle in the middle of the night last month after the driver heard her speaking about Israel. The driver told her “they do not drive Jewish people,” she told the Post.

A nanny from Algeria went on trial Tuesday in a suburb of Paris for allegedly poisoning the Jewish family she was employed by because of their religion. The defendant, identified as Leïla Y., 42, had been living in France illegally when she was first hired by the Jewish family in Nanterre, a suburb of Paris, in November 2023, according to the French outlet Le Parisien.

Greek City Times: Greek Government Accuses Critics of Antisemitism Over Calls to Ban Israel from Eurovision 2026

Managers of the venue in Camden said they "deeply regret" that the "highly offensive" graphics were displayed, adding that it was done entirely without their knowledge.

In our country, the provisions regarding the fight against terrorism are reflected in the law of Azerbaijan ‘On combating terrorism’, adopted on June 18, 1999. The law establishes the legal and organizational foundations of the fight against terrorism in Azerbaijan, coordinates the activities of bodies responsible for combating terrorism, and defines their legal duties, as well as those of citizens (the law consists of five chapters and 22 articles, with amendments added on October 5, 2001). The law provides the following definition of terrorism: terrorism is an act or a threat of explosion, arson, or other actions that endanger human life on a mass scale, harm health, destroy (damage) property, or pursue other grave consequences for the purpose of violating public safety, intimidating the population, or influencing decision‑making by public authorities or international organizations,” he said.
