The Paris Agreement — the world’s landmark treaty to halt climate change — turns 10 today.

With global temperatures still climbing and disasters intensifying, it would be fair to ask what the agreement has achieved.

The world is headed toward lower levels of warming than it was a decade ago, closer to 2 or 3 degrees Celsius than 4 or 5. We've seen what’s possible when leaders set their minds to it.

Yet we are still not moving nearly fast enough to avoid catastrophic climate change impacts. And the world is facing headwinds today that leaders could not have anticipated a decade ago.

So, what did the last 10 years add up to? And what comes next?
