Urge the Trump EPA not to eliminate our clean water safeguards Last month, the Trump EPA announced that it would continue its pro-polluter agenda by eliminating critical clean water safeguards for the streams that feed our drinking water and the wetlands that help protect our communities. Join us in calling on the EPA to abandon the “Polluted Water Rule”.

Everyone deserves access to clean water, regardless of income or zip code. Strong clean water protections from the EPA ensure that our water is safe to drink, and that communities are protected from polluters.

Despite the overwhelming popularity of clean water safeguards, the Trump administration cares more about catering to their billionaire friends than doing what the people support. And clean water is their next target.

Last month, the Trump EPA announced that it would continue Administrator Lee Zeldin’s pro-polluter agenda by eliminating critical clean water safeguards for the streams that feed our drinking water and the wetlands that help protect our communities.

Our wetlands help protect our communities from storms and flooding, and small streams across the country serve as our drinking water and feed into our larger lakes and rivers. By stripping protections from nearly 80% of our wetlands and millions of miles of streams, this “Polluted Water Rule” will endanger public health, lead to increased flooding across the country, and result in higher household water bills — all while lining the pockets of polluters.

The vast majority of people in this country say that protecting our nation’s lakes, rivers and streams is important. Our families and communities rely on clean water for drinking, swimming, bathing, fueling businesses, and so much more. We cannot let this administration give a free pass to polluters to dump into and destroy our precious waters. We must fight back and we need your help now.
