I came to Washington and joined the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus to work across the aisle and find commonsense solutions to the critical issues we face. With the COVID-era Affordable Care Act subsidies set to expire at the end of this year, I am proud to introduce bipartisan legislation that prevents steep premium increases, reins in insurance companies and predatory Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), lowers prescription drug costs, and cracks down on waste and fraud. This legislation represents a balanced, commonsense approach, and I am hopeful we will continue to build support to move it forward.

Rep. Malliotakis co-sponsors bill to prevent healthcare cost spike in 2026

A bipartisan group of congressional lawmakers, including local Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, have introduced new legislation that would prevent a significant jump in healthcare costs for millions of Americans in 2026.

On Tuesday, the group introduced the Bipartisan Health Insurance Affordability Act, which would extend the Affordable Care Act’s enhanced premium tax credits, which are set to expire at the end of the year, through 2027.
