Another Judge Orders Release of MS-13 Member Kilmar Abrego Garcia
For some reason, liberals get all teary-eyed when a wife-beating human trafficking MS-13 member faces the prospect of deportation. Or, for that matter, any other illegal alien does as well. That seems to be why Senators have cocktails with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and why judges keep issuing rulings that he should remain in the United States. Catherine Salgado: A judge has stepped in yet again for the wife-abusing, human trafficking, MS-13 “Maryland dad.” U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis asserted Thursday that, following Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s detention in El Salvador, “he has been re-detained, again without lawful authority.” This is complete garbage. The federal government absolutely has the power to arrest, detain, and deport any illegal alien in the United States purely because he is not allowed to be here. And Abrego Garcia has multiple other criminal charges stacked on top of illegal entry. But apparently, in America now, we voters aren’t allowed to choose our leaders and their policies — instead, we have rule by a thousand gavels. ( PJ Media)

Blue States and D.C. Defy Trump and Keep Taxing Tips
During the presidential campaign, Democrats ridiculed Trump’s plan to eliminate taxes on tips up to the moment that Kamala Harris trotted the idea out as her own. Now that Trump’s idea is law, some Democrats in Blue states are refusing to implement the idea in their own tax laws. Matt Margolis: No Tax on Tips became the law of the land with the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, but a handful of blue state governors are refusing to give their constituents this tax relief. And the Trump administration isn’t happy about it. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent issued a blistering statement on Wednesday that exposed how far these states will go to block relief simply because it came from President Donald Trump. Bessent described the OBBB as “the most pro-worker, pro-family legislation in a generation.” The law put real money back into the hands of people who actually earn it. No Tax on Tips for servers and bartenders. No Tax on Overtime for linemen and factory workers. A badly needed deduction for seniors who rely on Social Security. These are concrete victories for people, many of whom live paycheck to paycheck. Yet, the Democrat governors of Colorado, New York, Illinois, and the District of Columbia decided their residents should not share the same wins. Bessent called their defiance “a blatant act of political obstructionism” and said these states are “deliberately blocking their own residents from receiving these historic benefits at the state level.” He laid out the consequences in plain terms. Governors and legislatures in these states are squeezing families harder and taking more from workers. ( PJ Media)

Rep. Benny Johnson: Murder of National Guardsman Was ‘Unfortunate Accident’
You may remember Representative Benny Johnson from the hit show “The January 6 th Committee,” where he played the role of Chairman in that tragicomedy. Well, Johnson is playing the evil fool once again, telling Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem that the murder of a National Guard soldier in Washington by an Afghan terrorist was just an “unfortunate accident.” Beege Welborn: According to Bennie Thompson, a stupid riot at the Capitol amounted to an armed insurrection against the Republic and all that is holy. Also according to Bennie Thompson, the terrorist attack that killed a National Guard soldier and severely wounded another is … um … er … An “unfortunate accident”? Say what? The House Democrat didn’t just frame it that way once, either. When Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem rebuked Thompson over that attempt to downplay the murder, Thompson then referred to it as an “unfortunate incident.” That led to several fiery exchanges in the hearing, with Thompson sputtering over his congressional privilege. ( Hot Air) Johnson would make a perfect villain out of central casting for a remake of House of Cards, playing the evil congressman.

Obama White House Counsel Became Chums With Jeffrey Epstein After Leaving White House
CNN did a deep dive into the intimate and rarely discussed relationship between Kathy Ruemmler, who is currently a high-ranking executive at Goldman Sachs, and was Barack Obama’s White House Counsel. She denies a close relationship, but the more than 100 emails between Ruemmler and Epstein tell a much different story. CNN: Among the many high-profile and notable names that appear in the Epstein messages, Ruemmler is one of the most frequently referenced, with more than 100 exchanges between her and Epstein over several years. Epstein’s schedule reveals that he was set to meet with Ruemmler more than 50 times between July 2014 and May 2019, including for lunches and dinners with celebrities, apartment hunting, and personal beauty appointments. As early as 2014, the year that Ruemmler left the Obama White House, the pair already appeared close, with Ruemmler telling Epstein in one email, “I’ll be here all week — you may get sick of me.” … Across the many messages, Ruemmler emerges as a confidant and advocate for Epstein, at times helping him manage his public reputation following his 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor. Epstein’s estate is fighting to keep hundreds of additional emails between Ruemmler and Epstein private, arguing that they are protected by attorney-client privilege. The privilege log shows that Ruemmler continued to communicate with Epstein through at least June 2019 and suggests she was more involved with Epstein’s legal affairs than previously known. ( CNN) Epstein apparently helped her with fashion advice, and in return Ruemmler gave him legal and PR advice on how to combat attacks on his sex trafficking. Seems fair. ( CNN Instagram video)

Tom Homan: Ilhan Omar Committed Immigration Fraud and May Face Consequences
Minnesota Republicans have been shouting from the rooftops about Ilhan Omar’s immigration fraud, long before her connection with billion-dollar welfare fraud became a national topic of conversation. In an interview with Newsmax, Homan dropped a bombshell: Homeland Security is looking into that fraud. While the statute of limitations has run out, other potential consequences could be imposed, including denaturalization. Newsweek: “I just got advised by a fraud investigator the other day on that. I asked the question, can we review the files? You know, there was immigration fraud involved,” Homan said on Newsmax. “The statute of limitation became an issue in the last four years when this was first brought up.” He continued, “Pulling the records now, pulling the files, and we’re looking at it. But this fraud investigator, who I know personally, one of the best fraud investigators in HSI, Homeland Security Investigations, said there’s no doubt he’d review the file. So, I’m running that down this week as a matter of fact, and we’ll see.” ( Newsweek) ( Newsmax original video)

US and Japan Square Off With China and Russia in Airspace Around Japan
China and Russia have been harassing Japan and South Korea with flights entering their air defense identification zones. In response, Japan and the United States entered the zone with B-52s and F-35s. Reuters: The flight of two U.S. B-52 strategic bombers with three Japanese F-35 stealth fighters and three F-15 air-superiority jets was the first time the U.S. had asserted its military presence since China began military exercises in the region last week. The display follows a joint flight of Chinese and Russian strategic bombers in the East China Sea and western Pacific on Tuesday and separate Chinese aircraft carrier drills that prompted Japan to scramble jets that Tokyo said were targeted by radar beams. China denied Tokyo’s accusation about the carrier aircraft encounter, saying Japanese jets had endangered its air operations south of Japan. ( Reuters) Deploying F-35s sends a message. Sending a flight of nuclear-capable B-52s sends the same message with the speakers turned to 11.

Bari Weiss’ CBS News Doing Real Reporting on Somali Fraud Scandal in Minnesota
CBS isn’t holding back on its coverage of the Somali fraud scams in Minnesota, and few doubt that Bari Weiss has something to do with the new aggressiveness. CBS News: Luxury cars, private villas and overseas wire transfers: CBS News obtained dozens of files and photos that reveal how Minnesota fraudsters blew through hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars as part of one of the biggest COVID-era fraud schemes. The files document a spending spree in which defendants, many of Somali descent, took taxpayer money meant to feed hungry children and used it to buy cars, property and jewelry. Videos show them popping champagne at an opulent Maldives resort. In a text message, one defendant boasts: “You are gonna be the richest 25 year old InshaAllah [God willing].” The documents feature exhibits from a recent federal trial, many of which are being made public by CBS News for the first time. The exhibits include: A confirmation email for a stay in an overwater villa with a private pool at Radisson Blu Resort Maldives Lakefront property in Minnesota Receipts showing wire transfers to China and East Africa First class tickets to Istanbul and Amsterdam A 2021 Porsche Macan Stacks of cash, texted between defendants. ( CBS News) Hmm. Is it true that crime doesn’t pay?

Stanford Study Discovers Why the COVID-19 Vaccine Can Damage the Heart
Getting the public health establishment to admit that the COVID-19 vaccine might have a side-effect or two took far too long, but eventually it was established that there is a link between the vaccine and heart damage in some people. Now, a Stanford study has established the mechanism by which the damage is caused. Telegraph: scientists analysed blood from patients who were vaccinated against Covid-19, some of whom developed myocarditis. Comparing those who developed the condition with those who did not, they noticed high levels of two signalling proteins in the blood of those with myocarditis, which operate like a tag team, ramping up the immune system and damaging the heart. Prof Wu said he had a hunch that an anti-inflammatory derived from soy called genistein could help prevent such damage. In a series of experiments, cells and animals were treated with genistein, which prevented much of the damage caused by vaccines. … The research was published in Science Translational Medicine. Erika Kirk Is Speaking Up About Vicious Conspiracy Theories
Erika Kirk has been viciously attacked by conspiracy mongers who claim that she was somehow involved in her husband’s death. In an interview with Bari Weiss (her name keeps popping up, doesn’t it?), Kirk was asked to respond to the claims. CBS News: What would Erika Kirk say to Candace Owens, as she pushes conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk’s assassination? “Stop. That’s it. That’s all I have to say. Stop.” Just days after the posthumous release of her husband’s last book, “Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life,” @MrsErikaKirk sat down with CBS News Editor-in-Chief @bariweiss for an hour-long town hall. Watch it on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 8 p.m. ET, only on CBS. ( CBS News on X) Is it possible that conservatives will have to take CBS News seriously again? Anything’s possible.

Is ‘Jingle Bells’ Racist?
Joy Reid may be a racist and a moron, but she does serve the purpose of providing good content for talk radio hosts in need of filler content. Her latest idiotic claim is that the Christmas song “Jingle Bells” is racist. New York Post: Fired MSNBC host Joy Reid played Grinch on social media this week, sharing a video claiming beloved Christmas anthem “Jingle Bells” was written “to make fun of black people.” In the video she shared to her 1.3 million Instagram followers, a man in a Christmas sweater and Santa hat stands on the streets of Medford, Massachusetts near a plaque marks the site where James Lord Pierpont is believed to have penned the song in 1850. He takes off his hat disapprovingly and scowls at the plaque, the video caption reading “this is where a racist Confederate soldier wrote ‘Jingle Bells’ to make fun of black people, and has its origins in bigoted minstrel shows that were popular at the time. The video captions go on to claim Pierpont — whose nephew grew up to be legendary financier J.P. Morgan — was hard up for cash when he composed “The One Horse Open Sleigh,” and did so expressly for its use in performances in which white actors put on blackface to “mock and caricature black people trying to participate in winter activities.” ( New York Post) ( Original video on Instagram)
