Dear Friend,

I appreciate your reading this weekly update and continue to encourage you to forward to your family and friends. As always if you need anything from my office, you can reach me via my Contact  page or by calling 202-225-5031.

Pro-Life Update

My goal in Congress is to be a voice for the voiceless, which is how I have earned an A+ rating from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, fighting for the rights of the unborn.

As a father and a Christian, I will continue to protect Mississippi values by supporting legislation that promotes the safety of the unborn. I am proud to represent Mississippi, the state leading the pro-life movement, and it is my hope that women and families outside of Mississippi will gain these pro-life, pro-woman, and pro-family policies.

This July, I helped pass legislation into law that blocks Medicaid payments to abortion providers, like Planned Parenthood. This was a historic protection of your federal taxpayer dollars.

My work is not yet done. I will continue to support laws that protect life and take every opportunity to remind our nation that all of us have been given the right to life here in the United States.

Happy Birthday to Mississippi

On December 10, 1817, President James Madison granted statehood to the western side of the territory, making Mississippi the Union’s 20th state. Mississippi is named after the Mississippi River, from the Ojibwe word for “great river.”

An Update on the Border for 2025

After the complete failures of the Biden-Harris Administration at the border, I am thankful for all the hard work that has led to the lowest border numbers in decades. Check out the hard work of the Trump Administration below:

Border numbers:

January 2025 saw encounters down by 36% from December of 2024.

February 2025 saw record lows proving that President Trump’s border enforcement works.

March 2025 saw a decrease in border encounters by 88% compared to March of 2024.

April 2025 saw a 93% drop in apprehensions per day along the Southwest border compared to April 2024.

May 2025 saw zero inadmissible aliens were released by the United States Border Patrol into American communities.

June 2025 saw encounters at the Southwest Border below 10,000 for the first time in years.

July 2025 saw the average of 47,000 illegal aliens being departed each month.

August 2025 saw the removal numbers of illegal aliens reaching 1,500 per day.

September 2025 saw an 84.4% decrease  of apprehensions between the ports of entry at the Southwest border compared to September 2024.
