Hi there β and welcome to the new edition of the Berge Bulletin, your one-stop shop for whatβs going on in the campaign and how you can get involved. |

Right before Thanksgiving β and for the first time since I announced β I spent most of a week out of the district. I was invited to DC to attend the Patriotic Millionaires event on taxing the rich. They are advocating for federal legislation that will level the playing field between regular folks and the ultra wealthy. I am proud to have their endorsement. |

I came home for a night to celebrate my bday with my family with take out from my favorite restaurant in Eau Claire: Thai Orchid. |

|
The next day, I was off to National League of Cities in Salt Lake City to join local government leaders from all over the country to talk about the most pressing issues at the local level (housing is #1). The WI contingent found time to go for a hike with our NLC socks. I also met SLC Mayor Erin Mendenhall, who is quite wonderful! |

I celebrated my birthday at the new Childrenβs Museum in Eau Claire with so many of you! We had so much fun and Iβm incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers for making this happen. |

We hosted our first Crafting for Congress event at Lazy Monk! Through the power of friendship bracelets and handmade pins, this campaign is determined to connect with every voter and have fun doing so! Thank you, everyone, for your art and support! |

This past weekend, I headed to the Eagles Club to join the Vernon County Democratic Partyβs annual meeting. Chair Wayde gave an excellent recap of all the good work they have done the past year. And guess what? It all focused on caring for their local community.
I had the opportunity to speak and answered lots of great questions. We talked a lot about housing and healthcare which are my 2 big issues. We also discussed how money in politics is the root of the dysfunction in Congress. I am proud to say I have never taken corporate PAC money and I never will. |

Finally, last night, I got to serve a full house at 3rd & Vine! I met lots of new people and chatted with friends who stopped by. If you haven't been to 3rd & Vine, you need to go...such a cozy neighborhood spot. |

It has been fun talking with numerous journalists about my time on Council and how this sets me up to serve in Congress. Check out this extended interview (30 min!) reflecting on my experience and how that has shaped my priorities for Congress. (If you don't have 30 minutes, skip to the last 8 minutes) |

In November I was so grateful for the endorsement of Shaundel Washington-Spivey, the Mayor of La Crosse.
Our campaign is centered around putting the needs of those who live here above the wants of D.C. and corporate interests. Which is why Iβm so proud to have the support of local leaders like Shaundel and so many others. |
