The U.S. House is voting today to restore collective bargaining rights for
more than one million federal workers – including more than 15,000 VA
nurses – who have had their hard-won collective bargaining rights
illegally revoked by the Trump administration.
Can you call your member of Congress right now and urge them to stand with
VA nurses and other federal workers by voting YES on the Protect America’s
Workforce Act (H.R. 2550)?

Hi, my name is [First Name]. I am your constituent, and I’m a ______
(nurse/other health care worker/patient/veteran). I’m calling today to
urge you to vote YES on the bipartisan Protect America’s Workforce Act
(H.R. 2550) which would restore collective bargaining and union
organizing rights for more than one million federal workers, including
15,000 nurses in the VA. Union rights are fundamental to nurses’ role as
patient advocates. The Trump administration’s executive orders illegally
revoking these rights are an outrageous attack on all workers and a
blatant union-busting effort. I urge you to stand up for workers’ rights
and safe patient care for veterans by voting YES on the Protect
America's Workforce Act (H.R. 2550). Thank you.
If the Protect America’s Workforce Act passes the House and Senate,
Congress will overturn the Trump administration’s anti-worker executive
orders from earlier this year that illegally ripped away our union
protections. And thanks to your continued advocacy, the bill has received
more than 218 signatures required to bring it up for a floor vote in the
House.

Nurses and workers across the country have spent months demanding this
vote – and now, we finally have the chance to win. We have rallied at the
offices of our representatives, we have called, and we have organized.
It’s time to finish the job together!
Thank you for being with us.
In solidarity,
National Nurses United
