HELP FREE LEQAA, DETAINED FOR PROTESTING VIOLENCE IN GAZA »

We need your help to uplift this urgent case, Jack:

When Leqaa Kordia came to the U.S., she hoped to rejoin her mother and find new community. Instead, she found herself behind bars and at risk of deportation for doing what every person should have the right to do: protest injustice.

Leqaa is the only known remaining student campus protester still detained by ICE for her peaceful activism to stop the violence in Gaza.

She is being held in a detention center in Texas — cut off from her community, the ability to practice her faith, and the people she loves.

This is a cruel attempt by the Trump administration to silence dissent and intimidate anyone who stands for Palestinian rights. Leqaa poses no threat to anyone. She is a caregiver, a daughter, and a peaceful activist being punished for her beliefs.

Join Amnesty International in demanding action: Urge Secretary Kristi Noem to immediately release Leqaa Kordia.

Leqaa was arrested at a peaceful protest outside Columbia University. The charges were dropped. But this March, she was detained without warning and sent to a detention center in Texas, more than 1,500 miles from her family and attorney.

Together, we can bring her home and defend the right to protest for everyone. Will you take one minute to help?

Act now to help us apply pressure on the Department of Homeland Security to release Leqaa from ICE’s unlawful grip.

ACT NOW

Thank you so much for speaking out with Amnesty. We cannot let Leqaa down!
