Every day, someone in the UK takes their first steps to change something that matters to them; a neighbour urging their representative to act, a voter trying to understand the decisions made in their name, or a campaigner seeking justice.

Often, this is through one of mySociety’s services. Millions of people every year rely on our tools to understand, question, and influence the decisions shaping their lives and their communities. In 2025 alone:

2.5 million+ people visited debate and MP pages on TheyWorkForYou
150,000+ FOI requests were submitted on WhatDoTheyKnow
158,000+ messages were sent via WriteToThem

Behind every one of these numbers is someone who felt able to take action, and another whose generosity made it possible.

WriteToThem makes it easier for people to speak up. It provides a way to contact the politicians who represent you, even if you've never taken such a step before.
