Over the last few election cycles, Colorado's gained a reputation for being an island of blue in a sea of red. But friend, that wasn't always the case.

When I first ran for a full term in the Senate back in 2010, I barely eked out a win by just 1.7%.

The reason I've never lost a general election is that I've never taken my seat, or a single vote, for granted.

From my role as the superintendent of Denver Public Schools, to serving as chief of staff to Denver’s mayor, to being your U.S. Senator, I've built a track record of bringing folks together to tackle our biggest problems head-on and delivering tangible solutions.

And with the small-dollar support from folks like you toward my campaign's $30,000 mid-month goal, friend, I have no plans to break either streak anytime soon. Will you please help me win the governor's race by pitching in $5 or more today?

After years of visiting every corner of our state, building relationships with voters across the political spectrum, and discussing the biggest issues folks face as I worked to earn their votes, trust me when I say: we cannot take Colorado’s blue status for granted.

And the numbers don't lie – as of September 2024, only 26% of Colorado's voters were registered Democrats, 23% were registered Republicans, and nearly half were unaffiliated with either party. A blue Colorado is no guarantee.

We need to defeat Trump's chaos, and the MAGA movement's ugly divide-and-conquer strategy. But that’s only half the battle.

The key to success is dealing with the conditions that gave rise to Trump in the first place – by making life materially better for Colorado's working families.

If we begin resting on our laurels and stop listening to the people who will decide this race, that's when we'll start to lose. So I'm running to continue bringing folks of all stripes together to untangle our biggest challenges and deliver the results Coloradans want to see.

I'm running to put my deep understanding of Colorado to work in the state Capitol to protect working families.

I'm running because, together, we can forge a path out of Trump's chaos and provide the vision forward that both the Democratic Party and the country need – but it's going to take all hands on deck to make that vision a reality.
