Team, you always have to follow the money.
While Democrat Taylor Rehmet has a chance to make history and flip a seat blue in the January runoff election in Fort Worth, the MAGA candidate left in the race is pulling out all the stops with his corrupt GOP pals to try and pummel Taylor.
Leigh Wambsganss pulled in roughly $450,000 from Texans United for a Conservative Majority, a PAC bankrolled by Republican oil tycoons Tim Dunn and Farris Wilks. He also took $363,250 from the Texas Senate Leadership Fund, Dan Patrick’s PAC dedicated to “advancing the goals of the conservative majority in the Texas Senate.”
But there’s a glimmer of hope: Leigh did not walk away unscathed in a crowded primary, and there’s plenty of Republicans still licking their wounds that their chosen one was beat out by Taylor in the primary.
Taylor CAN capitalize on divided R’s and flip this seat, but if we’re going to compete with this kind of billionaire-backed influence, we need grassroots power. And that starts with you. Can you chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can to help us help Taylor fight back?
If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Just look at who that MAGA candidate is fighting for: the big time billionaires writing big ol’ checks.
Meanwhile, Air Force vet and union organizer Taylor Rehmet is out here knocking doors, talking with families, and funding his campaign with the support of union leaders, Texas workers, and Democratic leaders. We’re pouring all of the support we can into his race because he has a real, fighting chance to win in this ruby red district.
If you believe working families deserve a champion (not another billionaire-backed puppet) chip in today. Even $5 goes a long way to securing victory in a grassroots race like this.
In solidarity,
Katy
