Dear John,

The food we share connects us in profound ways, not just during this season of giving and gratitude, but with each and every meal that nourishes us throughout the year. Food connects us to each other, and to the land, culture and traditions we celebrate.

We heard from Minnesota farmers on stage at the Farm Aid 40 Press Event. They told us about the challenge they face as they fight the growth of factory farms and the impact industrial agriculture has on their communities and livelihoods. The work they do offers an alternative to that system and we all can find inspiration in what they do. Together, they’re organizing to solve issues and build collective voice and power by forming cooperatives, developing new markets and sharing resources and sustainable growth practices. 

We all deserve access to good food, healthy soil and water, clean air and strong communities. That’s the public service that family farmers provide to us and they deserve our support. Please stand with them by making a gift to Farm Aid right now.
