I wanted to talk about an important election you may or may not have been following.
Last Tuesday was a special election for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District. It was hotly contested, with both Republicans and Democrats spending lots of money and time to win the seat. The Republican nominee eventually won by nine percentage points over the Democratic nominee. However, Donald Trump won that same district by 22 points last year.
What we’re all doing—raising our voices, speaking up about the terrible things this Administration is doing—is working. We’re moving the needle ahead of next year’s midterms.
But nothing is guaranteed. We have to keep working hard—donating our time, donating our money, registering to vote—in order to flip Congress blue.
We don’t want to have any regrets.
