Hey John, it’s James Talarico with an update.

We are in a new race. And in the last 24 hours, this campaign just got a whole lot more expensive. (As if it wasn’t already ridiculously expensive.)

So I cannot overstate how important this moment is. The strength of our movement as the field grows sets the tone for this new race. If we demonstrate our strength, our momentum builds on itself. More people step up and join our movement to win back power for working people in a system rigged by billionaire mega-donors.

But National Republicans have made clear they’ll do anything it takes to make sure I’m not the Democratic nominee. They don’t want me as their opponent.

So I am asking you to have my back right now by making a contribution. We need all the resources we can muster to get to work and win this thing. I would not ask if this wasn’t a critical moment for our movement.
