John, this is Eve, Adam’s wife.

Tomorrow is the first anniversary of Adam’s swearing in to the U.S. Senate, and boy, what a year it’s been.

One year ago, our family gathered in the Capitol building to watch him take an oath of office we’ve seen him take before — but this time, in a new chamber.

But regardless of his title, the commitment is the same: to make a difference for hard-working families and stand up for our democracy.

I was so proud of Adam on that day, a feeling that has only increased over the last 12 months as we’ve watched him fearlessly stand up to Trump in the face of a slew of very personal, very vindictive attacks.

If anything, these attacks have strengthened his commitment to fighting for our country and fighting for you.

For as long as I have known Adam — in nearly 31 years of marriage — he has been guided by the belief that the people of this great country deserve the chance to get a good job, provide for themselves and their families, and enjoy a nice quality of life. That’s what he’s working for every single day, and he’ll keep up that fight.

Will you sign my card to Adam to congratulate him on one year in the U.S. Senate? This team means so much to him.

Adam and I share the belief that our country is full of promise and that our democracy is precious. And fragile. Adam has been on the frontlines, protecting it. He always will be.
