📅 This Week: International Population Estimates and Projections

Please find an update below to the number of countries new data will be available for on Thursday. 

On Thursday, December 11, the U.S. Census Bureau will release new population estimates, projections and other demographic data up to the year 2100 for 21 countries and areas in the International Database (IDB).

The IDB consists of estimates and projections of demographic indicators, including population size and growth (by sex and single year of age up to 100-plus) and components of change (mortality, fertility and net international migration) for more than 220 countries and areas. 

📊 Release Schedule Updates 

Vintage 2025 Population Estimates 

• January 27: The first set of Vintage 2025 population estimates is scheduled to be released. 

2024 American Community Survey (ACS)

• January 29: 2020-2024 ACS 5-year estimates. The Census Bureau will host a pre-release webinar.
• March 5: 2020-2024 ACS 5-year PUMS files.
