I saw Trump’s comments last week about affordability being a Democratic “con job.” But you and I both know: the real con job is the President’s refusal to act while everyday families are struggling to survive.
When he ran for President, he promised to bring prices down on day one, and that didn’t happen.
Sky-high prices are a crisis. Families in St. Louis are being forced to choose between rent, groceries, healthcare, and keeping the lights on.
Being able to get our basic needs taken care of is what is at stake, and Trump and his allies don’t care. They continue to ignore the reality of people, even as costs rise and billionaires become even richer.
I’m running for Congress to fight for our district, tackle affordability head-on, and ensure that families aren’t forced to make impossible choices. I’ve been fighting for people my whole career, and I’m not backing down now.
Listen, I can’t win without you. Trump and his megadonor allies, the same ones calling affordability a con, are pouring money into protecting the status quo and enriching themselves while our families suffer.
We refuse to let that happen and your support powers our movement. Once elected, I’ll do the job that Trump and his allies refuse to do. They’ve got money, but we’ve got time and energy. If we invest right now, we can build a campaign to take them on, but it starts today. Can you chip in $20 or whatever you can afford today?
