John, I recently got word that the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division appeared to open an inquiry into me and five of my colleagues—all because we made a video stressing the power of the oath to the Constitution and that service members can never be forced to follow illegal orders. To be honest, the President's reaction—calling for our arrest and death, the FBI being deployed against us—tells me exactly who he is and how little he respects the Constitution. The FBI is being used as a tool to try and intimidate and harass members of Congress. He is wielding the power of government to punish dissent. That’s authoritarianism—plain and simple. But here’s the truth: No amount of harassment, threats, or abuse of power will stop us from doing our jobs or honoring our oath. We swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. That oath lasts a lifetime, and we intend to keep it. We will not be bullied. We will never give up the ship. While Trump goes after us, I need your help to show that we are not backing down — that people across this country are standing with those defending our Constitution, not those trying to break it.
