Dear John,

I want to share more about my journey — not just as a survivor of human trafficking, but as a social worker serving people who face many of the same barriers I once did.

Since getting the support I needed, I’m truly thriving. Today, my purpose is to do for others what Polaris and their partners did for me: bridge the gaps between people and the services that can help them move forward.

In my work, I see everyday what survivors need most. Housing — for both youth and adults — is the biggest challenge I encounter. And I know from personal and professional experience that one size does not fit all when it comes to services. People need providers who meet them where they are, treat them as the experts of their own experiences, and give them the tools to make decisions about their lives and futures.

You’ve seen how impactful this kind of support can be. Will you strengthen this constellation of support through a special year-end opportunity?

Now through December 31, every dollar given to Polaris will be matched 2-to-1, multiplying your generosity and making your gift go three times as far for survivors.

TRIPLE MY GIFT

Thanks to survivor-centered services, I have grown into a position to pay it forward. In addition to social work, I engage as a survivor leader and expert in the anti-trafficking field — working with legislators on policy improvements, and training nursing and social work students, judges, attorneys, and other professionals.

These are just a few of the ways I’m making a difference and helping the stars align for the survivors following after me. Will you join me in supporting the services that make this possible?

As a survivor leader and as a social worker, thank you for your commitment to this work. I ask you to continue standing with us on our journeys toward freedom.

In solidarity,

P.S. Remember to give by December 31 to triple your impact for survivors and the service providers supporting them!
