Dear Friend,
I had the honor of serving in the Air National Guard for over 20 years, doing tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. I served because I believed in serving something bigger than myself.
And one thing I learned while serving was America needs serious, qualified leaders in the most serious roles.
That was true then, and it’s true now.
This Thursday <[link removed]>, Country First is holding a Day of Action <[link removed]> at 1 PM Eastern, where we will contact key U.S. Senators who supported the nomination of Pete Hegseth. Together, we’ll ask them two essential questions:
- In light of the Inspector General’s findings on Signalgate and the recent concerns around adherence to The Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) do you still stand by your vote to confirm him as Secretary of Defense?
- If not, what actions are you taking to ensure these serious issues are addressed?
A vibrant democracy requires accountability, transparency, and public officials who can answer tough questions — and it requires citizens willing to ask them.
You’ve never shied away from standing up for democracy.Join Us <[link removed]>
