Where you live in America can make a real political difference in a way that wasn’t true 50 years ago. With the election of an avowed socialist in New York City, many have stated they will move away. It’s a reminder that migration combined with political decentralization can be a check on political power.

In contrast to this, we can look to the stagnating economy of Europe which has been centralizing political power in recent decades.
