The Golden Age Agenda
The Claremont Institute has built a new American era
Dear John,
Benjamin Franklin once quipped in Poor Richard’s Almanack:
“The Golden Age never was the present age.”
But this year, Claremont has proved that the present age can be Golden.
With President Trump back in the White House and a new conservative majority taking responsibility for governing, our Golden Age Agenda events series placed the Claremont Institute squarely the center of the action.
Thanks to your support, we hosted the thinkers, doers, and statesmen building this new era of principle, patriotism, and permanence.
Below is the Golden Age Agenda you made possible in 2025:
The Statesmanship Award Dinner —California
Vice President JD Vance joined Charlie Kirk and hundreds of Claremont friends for an unforgettable evening that continues to reverberate across the country.
The Vice President’s address—including his agenda-setting analysis of America’s political crossroads and his viral takedown of the now-Mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani—became the defining conservative speech of 2025.
In the wake of the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk, we hold deep gratitude for the significance of this night:
One man, now a martyr for faith and patriotism
The other serving the nation as Vice President
Both choosing to honor the Claremont Institute with their presence
We will work diligently to continue to merit their trust.
The State of Our Union — California
We hosted an intimate gathering with Senior Fellow Michael Anton and other Claremont scholars to assess developments inside Washington.
Supporters were given an unflinching analysis of the challenges and opportunities facing the new administration.
The conversation helped set the tone for Claremont’s continued role in shaping this Golden Age of political opportunity.
Fighting Enemies Foreign & Domestic: The Legacy of Angelo Codevilla — California
We celebrated the publication of this important book—edited by Ryan P. Williams—honoring one of Claremont’s greatest sons.
Codevilla’s students, colleagues, and admirers (many now serving in senior roles within the Trump administration) reflected on his fearless clarity about power, strategy, and the American regime.
The Henry Salvatori Prize Dinner — Washington, DC
We honored Christopher Caldwell—acclaimed journalist, author, and longtime contributor to the Claremont Review of Books.
Caldwell received the 2025 Henry Salvatori Prize in the American Founding for his groundbreaking book The Age of Entitlement and his decades of illuminating commentary on America’s post-1960s transformation.
His work has shed light on the stakes of safeguarding the American way of life.
The Claremont Review of Books 25th Anniversary Dinner — New York
Claremont friends and staff gathered with Charles R. Kesler, Larry P. Arnn, Ryan P. Williams, Derick Cooper, and some of the nation’s foremost conservative minds to celebrate a quarter-century of the finest journal of politics and statesmanship in America.
From Harry Jaffa to Angelo Codevilla to today’s rising generation, the CRB has been the intellectual backbone of the conservative movement—sustained by your readership and support.
The American Sheriff Award Dinner — California
Despite last-minute travel disruptions caused by the government shutdown, we concluded this year’s Sheriffs Fellowship with a powerful evening featuring special remarks by Border Czar Tom Homan.
We honored Sheriff Michael Lewis with the American Sheriff Award and celebrated our latest class of the Sheriff Fellows—equipping constitutional lawmen to stand firm against federal overreach.
Your Support Made This Golden Age Possible
Across these events, the ideas that you have championed became strategies and policies for a conservative movement now governing in this Golden Age.
You enabled Claremont to serve as the intellectual nerve center of American restoration.
As 2026 approaches, we will intensify our agenda—placing more Claremont fellows and alumni in the rooms where the future of this new era is being shaped.
