I watched my factory worker grandparents struggle in their old age.

Growing up, I watched my mother who raised six kids, stretch every dollar by buying us used clothes and serving fried spam sandwiches for dinner.

When my own family was just starting out, I had to leave my job because we couldn’t find affordable childcare.

I shopped at discount grocery stores and dreamed of the days when we wouldn’t have to pay for formula and diapers.

I know what it’s like to struggle financially — so when I see Trump and Elise Stefanik cutting our healthcare and crushing our families with expensive tariffs, my motivation to stop them is personal. [[link removed]] But Stefanik’s MAGA donors raised $12 million to take me down, turn New York red, and bring their extremist agenda to our state.
