You may have noticed that we’ve sent out a lot of fundraising emails this year. Not as many as some others… but enough to cause a serious traffic jam in your inbox.

First and foremost, we want to say this: We really wish it wasn’t necessary. But when you do the math and take a look at the cold, hard facts — it is. Here’s the truth:

Right now, one of the Republican Party’s fundraising arms — the NRCC — has over $45 million in the bank according to their latest FEC report. Add that on top of the Colorado GOP’s fundraising, along with potential Republican opponents, and that’s a staggering amount of money for Democrats like Brittany to take on.

That’s where these emails come in. No, we’re not going to raise $1 million, or even a fraction of that, off a single email. But that’s why we need to send them so often. If we only sent a few of these out just a couple weeks before the election… Republicans and their big money donors would win. That’s just the truth.

We’d never expect anyone to donate to every single email we send (so if you chipped in last time, feel free to skip this one!). But if you’re able to pitch in a few bucks now and then, that’s exactly what keeps us going — and when thousands of people do that together, it truly adds up.

It’s a strategy that works. But it only works because of you — and because you take a moment to respond to messages like this.
