Trump’s Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is under fire for overseeing boat strikes in international waters against alleged drug boats that killed nearly a dozen people.
This was carried out without Congressional approval or a sliver of transparency. That’s unacceptable and illegal. Our armed forces should be led with a steady hand -- not recklessness and a disregard for our Constitution.
As a member of the Armed Services Committee, it’s especially critical that we get to the bottom of what happened. If Hegseth ordered these strikes, it could amount to war crimes.
