Hi Herbert, it’s Raja Krishnamoorthi. I wanted to share a quick personal note before you log off tonight.

I come from a family that knows the promise of this country firsthand – where an immigrant family like mine can work hard to achieve the American Dream.

Growing up, every night at the dinner table, my father would tell me: “Think of the greatness of this country. Whatever you do, make sure this country is there for the next families who need it.”

That message has defined my life.

So, as we see constant cruelty and chaos coming out of Donald Trump’s White House, I couldn't sit quietly by.

With millions of Americans set to lose essential food benefits thanks to Trump’s cruel policies, I introduced the legislation to repeal the Republican SNAP cuts.

And when Trump sent ICE to round up immigrant families and trample on our Constitution, I took the fight directly to them, even getting the police called on me for trying to conduct basic oversight of an ICE facility. 

Meanwhile, Senate Republicans are cheering on Trump’s cruelty and chaos – and doing nothing to defend working families and our basic Constitutional rights. 

So, I’m running to take back the Senate and put an end to Trump’s unchecked power in DC. I’m ready to win this fight, but I need you with me. Will you chip in $25 before midnight to help me win this race and defeat the MAGA majority?
