It’s hard to believe it’s been almost one year since I raised my hand and swore an oath to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. In just 12 short months, I went from learning to literally navigate the halls of democracy, to fighting to defend its very soul.

The work has been intense—and urgent. We’ve watched our system of checks and balances strained by a President who undermines the independence of our courts and Congress, attacks the free press, and spreads disinformation. A President who puts his personal interest ahead of the national interest.
