Hi John, Every generation faces a turning point where it’s determined which stories will define the future.
This is ours.
This past August, the Department of Homeland Security released a video claiming victory in a so-called “battle for the soul of our nation.” It looked like scenes of violence in Washington, D.C., until reporters discovered the footage had actually come from Los Angeles, West Palm Beach, even Nantucket.
It was propaganda: a montage designed to provoke fear, justify crackdowns, and rewrite reality.
And it worked. Millions saw those videos, crafted by our own government, before fact-checkers could catch up to the truth. And, even then, the truth was too late to be effective.
This is a template for how misinformation spreads in 2025 to erode our multiracial democracy. We are determined to fight back. We are determined to win for our sake and for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
