Ilhan here. I want to say thank you.

This was a tough week. Trump and the extremist far-right decided to go all in on racism, hatred, and cruelty.

They have singled out Somali-Americans, called my friends and me “garbage”, targeted us with ICE, and rallied their MAGA troops to spread hate across the country.

But this movement came together in an incredible way to support our campaign and enable us to keep up the all-important fight to defeat this fascist administration.

We have seen an outpouring of support from people like Lora, a teacher from Iron who chipped in $5 earlier this week.

People like Vicki, a coach from Nashwauck who donated $10 yesterday.

And the list goes on — thousands and thousands of people who stand with this movement and believe in what we’re fighting for.

So again: Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Grassroots donations are what make everything we do possible, from organizing our neighbors here in Minneapolis to building a winning campaign for our progressive values.
