The Spirit of the Season Is Here — and Our Heroes Need You
As we move deeper into the holiday season, the spirit of generosity and connection is all around us — and here at Soldiers’ Angels, that spirit is needed now more than ever. Thanks to this incredible community, we raised over $24,000 on Giving Tuesday and helped hundreds of deserving families get adopted. But the mission isn’t over yet. Keep reading to see how you can help keep the momentum going.
Holiday Stockings for Heroes: Deadline Extended to 12/17
A stocking may be small, but it truly is a little “home in a box” [[link removed]] — a fun surprise, a taste of the holidays, and a morale boost for anyone spending the season far from home. Just look how happy this deployed Service Member [[link removed]] is to unbox her care package!
That's exactly why we need your help to reach our goal!
We are still 10,580 stockings short of our goal of 40,000 — and we refuse to let 10,580 Service Members and Veterans miss out on that little “Home in a Box” moment this holiday season.
If you can help us cross the finish line, now is the time.
Pledge 1 stocking, pledge 100, involve your office, or spread the word — every action helps another hero feel seen and supported.

Holiday Adopt-A-Family: 303 Families Still Waiting
Across the country, 303 Military and Veteran families — 1,038 children — are still hoping to be adopted for the holidays.
These families* are facing everything from deployments to medical crises to financial strain. Many are simply hoping for winter clothing, basic necessities, and a holiday meal.
If you are able, please consider adopting a family.

*A Note About the Families Waiting for Support
Every family who applies for Holiday Adopt-A-Family is vetted by our team — and we review thousands of applications each year. We don’t accept every application. We follow strict criteria to ensure the program supports families truly in need:
Active Duty families: Must be E6 or below and provide a hardship letter from their command or chaplain. Many Service Members share how humbling and emotional it feels to ask for help.
Wounded/Ill/Injured Veterans: Must provide proof of disability and honorable discharge. Many are 100% disabled, with spouses serving as full-time caregivers. These households often live solely on disability benefits, making it incredibly hard to get ahead.
HUD/VASH Veteran families: These families were previously homeless and are working hard to rebuild stability while managing medical or mental health challenges. Many eventually “graduate” from the program.
One thing is true across every group: These families are deeply grateful for Adopt-A-Family — and many tell us they hope to pay it forward someday.
If adopting a full family isn’t in your budget, a donation of any amount will help us support the families who may not get matched in time for Christmas.

Together, We Can Share the Spirit of the Season with Every Family, Every Service Member, and Every Veteran Still Waiting for a Glimmer of Holiday Hope.
With your help, we can make sure no hero’s household is left without support — whether that’s through a stocking, a holiday meal, or gifts under the tree for their children.
Thank you for showing up with so much heart.
We are deeply grateful for you.
You Know WHO is UNgrateful? THIS GUY ⬇️
Did you hear the news? The Grinch has officially returned to our Headquarters — and he’s been wreaking havoc on our staff once again! Have you been following along with his holiday antics? If not, you’ll definitely want to catch the latest prank he pulled on our President and CEO, Amy Palmer.
As ungrateful as this guy is, we are grateful for the humor and surprise he brings to our staff and volunteers during a very busy season. The holidays can get pretty stressful around here as we work to support as many Military-connected families as possible… so this mischievous green visitor gives us a much-needed moment of comic relief.
But don’t be fooled — he’s still a nasty, wasty skunk! 😉

Thanksgiving Recap: A Season of Gratitude & Full Tables
Thanksgiving was a wonderful success, thanks to the support of our incredible volunteers, sponsors, and partners nationwide. At every one of our eight Food Distribution sites, Service Members, Veterans, and their families received turkeys or turkey vouchers along with all the fixins’ for a complete holiday meal — in addition to the regular pantry staples and nutritious food items they count on each month.
It was inspiring to see the lines of grateful families, smiling volunteers, full grocery carts, and a true spirit of community at each event. Your support helped thousands of Military-connected families enjoy a warm, meaningful Thanksgiving — and we cannot thank you enough for making that possible.
If you are a Service Member or Veteran in need of food assistance in any of our eight food distribution cities (Atlanta, Charleston, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Orlando, San Antonio, & Washington, D.C.) or our food pantry cities (Detroit & Charlotte/Salisbury), be sure to create your food profile now in order to receive support at future events!

Now for the part of the story we didn’t expect. At our San Antonio Food Distribution, we were greeted by… protestors. Not protesting us — but trying to save turkey lives.
Yes, really. It was one of those moments you just had to see to believe. And lucky for you… we caught it on video. Get ready for a little "unexpected" holiday comedy.
