I’ve said this before, and I mean it deeply: Service is not selfish.
Service is selfless.

For people willing to give of themselves for somebody they might never
ever meet — that’s public service. And right now, it matters more than
ever.

The challenges coming out of Washington are real, and they’re directly
impacting families in Maryland. Cuts to federal programs, rising costs,
and threats to essential services are creating real strain across our
state.

We turned our values into action: standing with federal workers, expanding
resources for students and teachers, strengthening community safety
efforts, and building protections that help shield Maryland families from
the chaos coming out of Washington.

But the only way we keep doing this work — and keep doing it at the scale
this moment demands — is with a strong grassroots team behind us.
