The far right has put a target on Our Revolution’s back – and as Trump doubles down on his war on the “radical left”, the stakes have never been higher.
This month alone, we’ve seen a huge uptick in attention from MAGA outlets like Fox News and Breitbart — Fox News Radio just called us “Bernie Sanders’ Gestapo”! The message is clear: we’re making a difference, and that’s why they’re coming after us. But the scary truth is this is happening as Trump and his cronies look for any way possible to crackdown on their political opponents.
We are marshaling our resources to secure our organization as best we can – upgrading our software and tech defenses and investing in our legal team on standby.

The threats are no longer theoretical. Senator Ted Cruz doubled down on his dangerous crusade to crush the peaceful “No Kings” protest movement. He went on national TV, smeared nonviolent protests as “riots,” and demanded Congress pass his so-called “Stop FUNDERs Act” – a bill designed to threaten, prosecute, and silence those who support protest actions like “No Kings.”
Earlier this year, Donald Trump quietly signed a new terrifying National Security directive – NSPM-7, which singles out left-wing activists, launching a national strategy to “investigate and disrupt” organizations like ours. And even scarier, it authorizes a 4,000-strong enforcement arm of the FBI to ‘prevent’ crimes that haven’t even happened.
The intimidation is real – but we refuse to back down. Which is why we are urgently upgrading our cyber security, growing our legal defense fund, and training our volunteers on how to stay safe – no matter what Cruz, Trump, or the extreme right throws at us. But we need resources, fast.
Every dollar we spend defending ourselves is one less dollar we can use for grassroots organizing, phone banking, or supporting working-class candidates running against the far right. We never wanted to devote precious time and money to defense instead of mobilization. But when the President of the United States declares all political opponents his enemies, we have no choice.
