John,
Indiana House Republicans just passed one of the most egregiously gerrymandered maps in the country — on par with the maps North Carolina and Texas passed earlier this year.
Make no mistake: These lawmakers did this at the direction of the very same players in Washington who continue to stoke violent threats against their colleagues in the Indiana Senate; just as they did to Vice President Mike Pence on January 6th. These Republicans are ignoring the overwhelming opposition among their own constituents to a mid-decade gerrymander.
These Republicans are leading Indiana and our country down a dark and dangerous path — this gerrymander and the unacceptable threats of violence from those supporting it don’t represent the people of Indiana.
This fight isn’t over — this mid-decade gerrymander now goes to the Indiana Senate. Rush in your donation to help the NDRC fight back in Indiana and in every state where Republicans are attempting to gerrymander in order to rig the midterm elections. [[link removed]]

The map the House just passed would deal a devastating blow to fair representation. It carves up Indianapolis into four districts, splits the Lake Michigan shoreline in two, and targets college towns — all to try to dilute the voices of certain voters and rig the 2026 midterm elections before voters can cast a ballot.
Let’s be clear: This comes at the behest of Donald Trump, who threatened to help primary any Indiana Republican who didn’t support this gerrymander and attacked Indiana Governor Mike Braun on Truth Social. Meanwhile, some lawmakers received threats of violence, including bomb threats to their homes.
Nobody should be able to threaten and intimidate lawmakers and get their way, especially when they seek to deprive people of the power of their votes. We can stop Trump’s redistricting crisis from spreading, but it’ll take enormous resources.
Donate to help scale our work for this fight in Indiana and wherever map manipulators target next — and let’s preserve our democracy. [[link removed]]
